I chose to write about   Love, Death, & Robots: Three Robots  in detail. This episode of volume one of the 2022 Emmy nominee sci-fi/horror tv show. Philip Gelatt, the tv show writer, worked alongside John Scalzi who wrote these original stories while Victor Maldonado and Alfredo Torres directed under Blow Studio. This episode portrays three robots entering a post-apocalyptic city for what they consider to be a vacation. They tour the city and sightsee because there are no humans, they seem to take on the role of humans by doing what humans would have done. They embody humans’ personalities and reactions to their findings. Each robot comes from a different line of electronics such as baby monitors. There is the tall human shaped robot (XBOT 4000), a smaller doll like robot, and a wider triangular bot(11-45-G) with a monotone voice like Alexa or Siri. HON 255- Ready Player 1 Presentation Notes

  EXPLANATION:  My neighbor Gabe plays Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2   He met someone who avatars name is Champ1   His is from Ontario Canada he met him through the game, he goes to UMass Amherst    Champ1 is a character everyone can choose, personally this person did not personalize the way his avatar looks, but he did customize his username, but he can if he wanted to (so his avatar is one of the most used characters available to pick to play the game -usual name is ghost)   When asked the difference between his avatar and him he said that his avatar is in the military and never shows his face because he always wears a black and white Skelton mask His avatar is very violent, and he when Gabe asked Champ1 (aka Pablo) how he is in life he said he was a very laidback but outgoing and funny person he said he makes a lot of friends online because of this it’s easy for him to talk to people online    In real life he is 20 years old, and a financ...

HON 255- Thoughts on Ghost in the Shell

-I thought Ghost in the Shell was a very interesting movie. It demonstrated an almost scary version of society that was dominated by futuristic aspects of cyberspace. All of the characters are enhanced through technology and machinery and they have an advantage in that world. I would typically ever really watch anime, but Ghost in the Shell was full of such interesting ideas that have the potential to foreshadow the dark stories that have the potential to come to life in the future. It addresses philosophical question about the identities of humans and what this means for the future when powerful technology/machinery continues to intertwine in our lives. The artwork is able so amazing, detailed, and graphic all with deeper meaning.  - The "Three Laws of Robotics," which Asimov developed among his collection of robot-related short stories titled "I, Robot," are arguably his greatest contribution to the theme.
